Jaric to launch safety driving initiative for Carnival
21.06.2016 - Lyf Compton

Road safety data from around the region shows that there is an increase in road traffic crashes during the carnival season.
With this in mind last year we launched our "Don't Wreck Your Carnival" program. This program was in the form of a static display of a crashed vehicle which served as a graphic and sobering reminder of the consequences associated with poor choices on the roads during the carnival season. These bad choices include excessive drinking and driving, distracted driving and speeding.

The public response to this initiative was overwhelming prompting us to once again repeat our "Don't Wreck Your Carnival" program, and also increase the number of displays to cover a wider cross section of the island.
In support of the above, we invite you to join with us as we sensitize the public on the consequences of poor choices on the roads. You are cordially invited to cover the official launch of our 2016 "Don't Wreck Your Carnival" program which will take place on the 24th June 2016 at the car park of Massy Stores in Arnos Vale. The launch will start at 3pm promptly.

In 2015 St Vincent and the Grenadines recorded 26 road fatalities, with your help we can significantly reduce the pain associated with road fatalities.
