During a pre Miss SVG press conference on Monday May 30, Chairman of the Carnival Development Corporation (CDC) Dennis Ambrose urged persons to come out to the pageant and support the eight contestants.
"Our next event is Miss SVG which takes place this Saturday June 4th right here at Victoria Park. As usual this is a must see and be there event", said Ambrose while addressing persons at Carnival City, Victoria Park who had gathered to see the contestants' last media appearance before the much anticipated pageant.
"The eight beautiful young ladies will compete for the Crown of Miss SVG. I believe they are ready. I am sure that the competition will be very keen, and we are asking the public to come out and give the young ladies full support.
The show will start promptly at 8pm and I think it is best for patrons to come early so they can find their most strategic seating location to cheer for the contestant of their choice", said Ambrose.
The Chairman, during his time at the podium noted that the Miss SVG pageant will also showcase some great local entertainment.
"Remember that our local artistes are building a repertoire and performances at events such as these help to propel them further in the music industry. We are all about nation building, and will continue to help all our various talents to excel", noted Ambrose.
He also reminded persons who cannot make it to Victoria Park, that the option of viewing the show on pay-per-view is available through tele-communications service provider, FLOW.
"But, you must have the Digital Box to receive the service. This applies to viewing access to any of the Carnival events", reminded Ambrose.
