Miss Carival slated for July 1

Miss Carival 2016 will be held on Friday July 1st 2016 at 8 p.m. at Carnival City, Victoria Park, under the theme "31 years of exquisite pageantry".
Head of the Beauty Shows Committee (BSC) of the Carnival Development Corporation (CDC) Cheryl Rodriguez said this week that contestants and their chaperones will arrive in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Monday June 27th and leave on Saturday July 2nd 2016.
"While in the state they will be involved in a number of activities including meeting members of the public at various functions", said Rodriguez.
The ten (10) countries and contestants are, Miss Anguilla Chelsey Hughes, Miss Barbados Sheryl Forde, Miss Dominica Tasia Floissac, Miss Grenada Nyanka Samuel Robinson, Miss Montserrat Tabeanna Tuitt, Miss St Kitts and Nevis Orngel Erskine, Miss St Lucia Yuana David, Miss Trinidad and Tobago Djennicia Francis and Miss Venezuela Michelle Sinmues.
Host country St Vincent and the Grenadines will be represented by Miss SVG 2016 Nikianna Williams.
"The Chairperson and members of the Beauty Shows Committee met with Nikianna Williams and her chaperone Aviar Charles on Monday June 6th 2016 to prepare her in all segments to represent SVG in the pageant on July 1st 2016", Rodriguez revealed on Tuesday.
"The featured artiste in Miss Carival 2016 will be our very own Marlon Roudette, who will be making his first appearance on stage at Victoria Park in SVG, since leaving our shores and becoming an International Super Star.
Beauty show fans and all nationals who love their country and appreciate all Vincentians who have made it big overseas are encouraged to give Marlon Roudette and his band a rousing welcome at Victoria Park by attending Miss Carival 2016 on July 1st, Rodriguez said.
